報告人簡介:
Dr. An is currently a professor in Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Central Florida. He received his Ph.D. from Lehigh University in 1996. Prior to joining UCF, he was post-doc at Cornell University and University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. An’s research focuses on field-assisted material processing and manufacturing, nanomaterials and nanocomposites, polymer-derived ceramics, high-temperature sensors and energy materials and devices. He pioneered research in functional properties and sensor applications of polymer-derived ceramics. Dr. An’s research has been financially supported by NSF, DOE, DOD, NASA, Air Force, Florida State and private companies. He has authored/coauthored more than 160 journal papers, with total citation > 3900 and h-index = 32. Dr. An received several awards including “Thousand Talent” Professor, Wang Kuan-Cheng Foundation Award, and Changjiang Endowed Professorship. Dr. An served as an associate editor, member of editorial board, and reviewer for numerical journals in his fields.
